Preparing the ingredients – 4 minutes <
Meanwhile, turn on the oven. You can use your normal oven, set to the highest temperature. Turn it on at least half an hour before putting the pizza in.
In the meantime, prepare the toppings: we’ll start with mozzarella and tomato, and for now we won’t split hairs over the measurements:
- Begin with the can of peeled tomatoes. Take the tomatoes out of the juice. The liquid is too thin for pizza, but you can always use it later for another recipe. Blend, puree, or mash the tomatoes to a consistency that can be spread on pizza dough with a spoon. Add a pinch of salt; the amount of salt depends on the amount of tomato. Alternatively, you can sprinkle the salt directly on each pizza: it may be easier to dose out the right quantity.
- Take your mozzarella and shred it coarsely with a food processor or blender.
- Prepare two fragrant leaves of basil.
- Have ready: salt and olive oil.
